Today is a momentous occasion. I created my first original design! I know, I know, it's really not a huge thing, but it's my first one so leave me be. I had seen a post for a mushroom pouch that I had liked. I went to look for it today and it turns out it was someone selling a pattern. I don't know, I'm just fed up with using patterns from other people for simple things. It's not as if we're talking about a complicated sweater or something. It's a damned pouch. Plus I'm cheap and didn't want to spend the $10 for a bunch of other patterns that I didn't need or want.
I sat down, notebook in hand, yarn on my hook, and put my brain to use. I had to do math. It hurt for a few seconds, then the pain went away and the mushroom took shape. Honestly, it wasn't so bad! In fact, it was pretty stinkin good. So I finished it and put it on my Etsy shop. If you want to check it out, follow the Etsy link on the right side of the page. (I'm not posting the pics here because I want you to go look at my shop! na na na na na naaa)
Lesson of the day - being cheap leads to innovation.
